Twenty-five years later, we remember the Queens residents, first responders, workers, and volunteers who died on September 11 or from 9/11-related illnesses. Each lived in or shared a deep connection with Queens, and many are honored with memorial sites or co-named streets. Here, we remember some of those lost from the following neighborhoods: Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, Forest Hills, Forest Hills Gardens, Glendale, Middle Village, Jackson Heights and Kew Gardens.
